Barakoni Church of the Mother of God is a XVIII century orthodox church near the town of Ambrolauri, in the village of Tsesi. It is a domed cruciform church and one of the last important monuments in the tradition of medieval Georgian architecture. The church was built of neatly trimmed stones and adorned with rich ornamentation.

ST NICHOLAS CHURCH OF RAKETI (PATARA ONI)

St. Nicholas Church of Raketi, situated in the village Patara Oni, Ambrolauri Municipality, was built in the first third of the XI century. This is a hall-type, single-nave building. The church is richly decorated with luxurious reliefs. In the 1970s, several decorations of the church were partially restored.

MINDA FORTRESS
